Fish'n

We are finely set up at our new summer home in Menominee, MI. I took the boat on a 77 mile cruise from our storage in Two Rivers, WI to Menominee last Friday. It took me about 6 hours to make the trip. A couple of people told me they would make the trip with me but they both canceled out at the last minute leaving me to make the trip by myself. I haven't been out fishing with the big boat yet but I have been catching Northern Pike right off the docks. I've caught 10 of them so far.

A raining day in Menominee

It started raining last night and is forecasted to rain for the next couple of days. It's wet and cold but at least we got most of everything setup yesterday except for the satellite Internet. I tried again today but I could never get a signal to lock in. The campground here has Wi-Fi so it looks like we will use it to connect to the Internet this summer. I found and rented a self-storage near by and will start moving things out of our storage in Plymouth, WI this next week and bringing it up here. Hopefully the weather will be good and I'll be able to get the boat up here next week too.

Menominee, MI

We had a late start this morning after having breakfast with the Welti's getting back on the road around 11am. We pulled into the River Park Campground here in Menominee around 1:30 and there was no one around. I called the main office and left a message that we were here. A few minutes latter they called back and then they met us here at the park around 3:30 to check us in. In total we traveled 2613 miles after leaving our daughter's house in Brandon, FL and purchased 310 gallons of diesel at a total cost of $1,246.58.
