We are Kenny and Ginny. We call Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula home during the summer months. Together, we enjoy recreational boating on the Oconto River and the Bay of Green Bay and camping in the cooler northern states. When the boating season is over, we become snowbirds and head south for the winter with our luxury DRV Moble Suites 5th-wheel trailer that we call Château de Sallé.
I bought the Château de Sallé in July 2018 with my late wife Nancy after our Monaco Windsor motorhome, OWFISH, was totaled in an accident.

Abbeville, LA
We left Mermentau River RV Park & Marina around 10:15 this morning and made it into Betty's RV Park in Abbeville, LA an hour later. My last time here was 5 years ago with Barb. Betty say's things have changed around here but it looks pretty much the same to me. We'll be here for 2 weeks before heading next to Biloxi, MS.

Lake Arthur, LA
Well we left Galveston around 8:30 this morning heading to Louisiana. We took the ferry across to avoid the Houston traffic. We have stopped for 3 nights at the Mermentau River RV Park & Marina in Lake Arthur, LA. Their mailing address is Gueydan, LA but they're closer to the small town of Lake Arthur. It hasn't changed much since the last time I was here some 4 years ago in April 2011.
One thing has changed though, Verizon put up a tower and we have internet
access here now. It's a weak signal so but it works most of the time. We have a spot
right on the river with a covered deck over the water. We came in just as a
rain storm hit the area. We'll hold us here until Thursday the 19th when we have reservations to get into Betty's RV Park in Abbeville. Mermentau River RV Park & Marina is on a fresh water river and lake with access to the Intracoastal Waterway and
the Gulf of Mexico. I looked at this place once with the idea of it being the home for Shangri-La Cruises.

Johnson Space Center
Nancy and I went to the Johnson Space Center in Huston today. It's been many years since I've been there. The first time was back in 1971 when I had a personal tour of the center by an Air Force colonel who worked there and then again back in 1987 when I flew down from Oklahoma City with a bunch of Civil Air Patrol cadets on an Air Force C-130. I went as their bus driver once we landed at Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base in Houston.

Galveston, TX
After 4 weeks in the small town of Palacios, TX we headed down the road to our next stop, Bayou Shores RV Resort in Galveston, TX. We have a site right on the water. I took Nancy out to lunch and an island circle tour of Galveston stopping at the Coast Guard Exchange to pick up some necessities.
